The city of Santa Rosa is located in Northeastern California just a short drive from Sacramento. This is the largest city along California's Northern Coast and the fifth most populated city that makes up the San Francisco Bay Area. Brief History
While Pomo Indian tribes were the first persons to reside in this area, Spanish and Mexican settlers began settling in the area during the early 1800s. At this time, most of the town's residents relied on livestock. It was in 1867 when the city became incorporated and was given its current name.
